Cape Veil

We are carrying on our wedding cape guide. In this blog, we are going to cover cape veils.

Wedding capes are growing in trend and we are totally obsessed! So we have been researching, speaking to the experts and putting together all these blogs so you know all you need to know about wedding capes, capelets and cape veils.

What is a cape veil?

A cape veil is as it says in the name. It is made from tulle or other veil material but instead of being placed on the head, it flows from your shoulder.

“Cape veils give the illusion of a veil with more drama. Plus, it will not mess up your hair when you take it off!” – Words from Urban Supplier Rock the Frock Cheshire

They are a softer, romantic option than a standard bridal cape.

What cape veils are available?

With cape veils attaching to your shoulders you have more options when it comes to adding attachments and embellishments as they can take more weight.

“Cape veils are also available in different colours, dip dye and with the option to have crystal or pearl embellishment, different shoulder attachments and personalized embroidery!” – Words from Urban Supplier Rock the Frock Cheshire

A standard cape covers the front chest area and flows down the back but with cape veils, you have the option to only attach from the back giving more of the veil feel.

You can get short cape veils, bridal capelets, or longer floor lengths like a cathedral veil.

Where can I buy cape veils?

Capes and cape veils are becoming a standard bridal accessory so they can be easily found online or in your local bridal store.

For a unique handmade cape veil, we recommend Etsy. We have done the hard work for you though and gathered all of our favourite cape veils.
