Real flash mob city wedding in Spain
On the blog today we have the real flash mob wedding of Adam and Victoria. This is one fun wedding and we’re excited to show it to you. The couple clearly know how to have fun. They literally danced over the Spanish rooftops at their unique urban wedding in Malaga. Dance teacher Victoria and fitness instructor Adam, wanted to incorporate everything they love in life into a bespoke city wedding ceremony in Spain. Only having a conservative budget just added to the fun and adventure. With tons of imagination and the enthusiastic support of their UK families they started planning their special day.
Read on about their flash mob wedding, and how they danced down the aisle.
Rooftop wedding ceremony
The roof terrace of the Premium Hotel was so close to the spire of the adjacent church it felt like you could reach out and touch it and was the perfect backdrop for the wedding ceremony.
Victoria looked radiant in her two-piece wedding dress by Grace Loves Lace. Adam looked really dapper too with his Panama hat and sunnies, but no one can remember where his suit came from! The guests naturally parted as Vic entered on her dad’s arm to where Adam was waiting at the temporary altar space with celebrant Debbie.
As is becoming more frequent these days, not everyone could attend the ceremony. So a friend told the couple’s love story over the system via WhatsApp and an absent bridesmaid bestie virtually attended the ceremony via mobile phone.
Flash mob wedding dance
Hiring formal chairs can be expensive and as the reception was to be held at another location the wedding couple saved money by opting for an informal ceremony with their guests standing.
They also had an ulterior motive. The wedding celebrant, the best man and several of the wedding party had been practicing a surprise flash mob wedding dance recessional for the couple’s unique exit and no chairs made this easier to manage!
All of the wedding crafts were handmade by the bridal party. From the confetti packs, table decorations, buttonholes, table settings and guests’ gifts and wedding favours.
Wedding procession through the streets of Malaga
The wedding party walked through the streets of Malaga to cheers and applause from Spanish shoppers as they headed to another rooftop bar at the Alcazaba Premium Hostel. It has stunning views over the romantic XI century Moorish Alcazaba fortress for post wedding cocktails.
The wedding breakfast flamenco show by Jaen guitarist Luis was 100% embraced by the wedding party. Everyone continued the dancing theme by joining in the traditional Sevillana celebrations well into the night.
Huge congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Kirkpatrick for pulling off a truly bespoke Spanish urban wedding. Also for making the absolute best of Malaga city only five minutes from the beach and yet a world away from the tourism of Spain’s Costa del Sol.
