Style guide and FAQ for floral wedding dress
Accessorising a floral wedding dress.
Accessorizing a floral wedding dress can be fun and exciting, but it’s important to choose the right accessories that complement the dress and don’t overwhelm it. Here are some tips on how to accessorize a floral wedding dress:
- Keep it simple: Since floral wedding dresses are already eye-catching, it’s best to keep the accessories simple and understated. Opt for delicate jewellery such as stud earrings or a simple pendant necklace.
- Match the accessories to the floral design: Consider matching your accessories to the floral pattern on the dress. For example, if your dress has pink flowers, you could wear a pair of pink earrings or a bracelet with pink stones.
- Consider the neckline: The neckline of your dress can influence the type of accessories you choose. For a high neckline, skip the necklace and opt for statement earrings. If you have a plunging neckline, a delicate pendant necklace can be a beautiful accent.
- Shoes: Choose shoes that complement the colours in your floral wedding dress. Neutral shoes in beige, nude, or ivory can work well, but you could also opt for shoes that match one of the colours in the floral pattern.
- Hair accessories: Depending on the style of your dress, you could accessorize with a flower crown, a simple hairpin with a floral accent, or a delicate headband.
- Don’t forget the bouquet: Your bridal bouquet is an accessory that should complement your dress. Choose flowers that coordinate with the floral pattern on your dress, or opt for a bouquet with complementary colours.
Choosing bridesmaid dresses with a floral wedding dress
When choosing bridesmaid dresses to go with a floral wedding dress, there are a few factors to consider, such as the colour scheme of the wedding, the style of the floral dress, and the overall wedding theme. Here are some suggestions on bridesmaid dresses that could complement a floral wedding dress:
- All in one colour: If your floral wedding dress has a lot of colours and patterns, consider choosing coloured bridesmaid dresses in a complementary colour.
- Mixed colours: Pick out 2 or 3 of the colours from your floral pattern and mismatch the bridesmaid dresses.
- Dresses with a small floral print: Consider choosing bridesmaid dresses that have a small floral print that complements the floral pattern in the wedding dress.
- Neutral coloured dresses: If you want your floral wedding dress to be the centre of attention, opt for neutral coloured bridesmaid dresses in shades of beige, nude, or ivory.
- Mix and match: Don’t be afraid to mix and match bridesmaid dresses in different styles or colours. This can create a unique, personalized look that reflects each bridesmaid’s individual style.

My wedding dress has multiple colors and I cannot figure out what flowers will look good! Can you help?? I love this content
Hi, Thanks! It would depend on your overall style but I personally would keep the bouquet simple with either all white flowers or all greenery. Another option is to pick 1/2, no more than 3 of the main colours from the dress and have the flowers in those colours. Either way, I would keep it a simple and smaller bouquet and really let the dress shine! Hope you have a lovely wedding day! 💕
