winter bridal capes
Winter weddings are so romantic, the darker evenings under candlelight are the perfect combination for a wedding. All warm and cosy inside with the frosty, or if lucky snowy scene outside.
That’s why it’s important to have the right wedding cape for your winter wedding. It should be thick enough to keep you warm when it’s cold outside but not so stiff that you can’t move around in it comfortably when you’re inside at your reception or having photos taken outdoors after dark.
The most popular style in winter bridal capes is a hooded cloak, usually with a thicker fabric like velvet and fur inside or around the trim. These are perfect for outdoor weddings and photos.
Going for a thinner fabric like with a cape veil but still with a hood is a great winter cape alternative that will work inside to get the most use. Or even better, get both!

Bridal cloak
This winter bridal cape is usually made of heavier fabric like velvet or fur, with the option to have it long or short.
Remember to check what your wedding dress fabric is as this may mean a different fabric choice on your winter bridal cloak so it ties in beautifully. Also, you do not want any pulling of embellishments that may be on your dress.
Either way, a winter bridal cloak is an excellent winter wedding accessory. It definitely gives of princess or medieval vibes!
